Vision

Our vision as Lugwasho Foundation Zambia is to see communities where equality, peace and freedom are a reality amongst all people of every race, ethnicity and group.  

Mission

Lugwasho Foundation Zambia is a Non-Profit-Making Organization established with the aim of meeting the needs and challenges, creating opportunities and an enabling environment for the underprivileged in Society such as Orphans, Widows, Widowers, Elderly, Women, people with disabilities and Youth.

Love

“… Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.” Mark 12:31. The sore motivation for all our actions is anchored on love! We believe that only by Love is Love awakened. 

Care

Our love for others stires within us the urge to provide what is necessary for the health, welfare, maintenance, and protection of those in need. 

Sympathy 

 We feel the pain and sorrow of the needy and we want to share and be part and parcel of their problems.

Empathy 

We understand their needs and that our actions can minimize their stress.

Lugwasho Foundation Zambia is willing to work with any individual and different institutions, whether private or public, so as to be able to fulfil its mission. We have engaged the Department of Social Welfare (Zambia), Community Social & Health Workers, and  Headteachers/Guidance Teachers to help identify people as these people (institutions) are the first contact with the vulnerable. The information and recommendations obtained from these institutions is the initial step for the Foundation to process the application. 

The above procedure is followed in order to create accountability, and transparency and enhance our compliance with all stakeholders such as donors, Social Welfare Department, Tax Authority and other institutional regulatory agencies.
