Lugwasho Foundation Zambia

"...it is more blessed to give than to receive."

Lugwasho Foundation is an Independent non-profit making Organization which aims to meet the various needs of the vulnerable in our society. The name ‘Lugwasho’ is a Tonga (Zambian Tribe)  verb which means ‘to Help” describing our action-oriented urge to serve. We are not a political or a Religious group nor do we have any hidden agenda for any of the mentioned groups. However, the door is open and we embrace, cooperate and collaborate with a person, group, business house, or Government institution regardless of their philosophies and ideologies.

Since its establishment in December 2021, Lugwasho Foundation has successfully sponsored 15 orphans from different communities and schools who have received items such as books, bags, uniforms, pens, pencils, rulers, Mathematics sets, and shoes to mention but a few. It is our desire that through your generous support that this numbers triple by 2024.

In addition, the Foundation is also supporting 7 widows by continuously providing food, rentals and Entrepreneurial and other vocational skills. One Zambian youth cross-border trader was also empowered with a bicycle.
